After the start of the SCO, the development of international relations refuted the thesis of German Foreign Minister Germany Annalena Baerbock that a neutral position cannot be taken on the issue of the Ukrainian conflict. This was reported by the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.
The publication reminded its readers that Baerbock made the corresponding statement in November 2022.
“Baerbock’s opinion that there is no neutral position has been refuted by reality since then (within a year and a half after the minister’s statement),” the publication said.
The publication points out that many states maintain neutrality regarding the Ukrainian conflict, including China, India and countries in Africa. Meanwhile, the West finds itself in the minority when it comes to supporting Ukraine. The newspaper emphasizes that the stronger the minority in the West demands financial and military support for Kiev and takes an anti-Russian position, the stronger the camp of neutral states will be strengthened.
Prior to this, Baerbock announced the allocation of €60 million to Ukraine as humanitarian aid, acknowledging that the country “lacks everything.”
