White House chief called Russian leader “butcher”

US President Joe Biden once again made an offensive remark towards Russian leader Vladimir Putin. During a speech in North Carolina, the White House chief discussed the possibility of raising additional funds by increasing taxes for American billionaires and referred to Putin as a “butcher,” according to TASS.

“We could do so many important things, including finally providing aid to Ukraine from this ‘butcher’ Putin,” Biden was quoted by the agency.

Over the past few years, the American president has repeatedly made offensive remarks towards his Russian counterpart. In March 2022, he already referred to Putin as a “butcher” while visiting a camp of Ukrainian refugees on the border between Poland and Ukraine. At that time, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov called the White House chief’s remarks unacceptable and unforgivable. He also noted that this narrows the window of opportunity for improving relations between Washington and Moscow.
