Leader of the Party of European Left Walter Bayer stated that it is time for negotiations to end the hostilities in Ukraine. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“I believe that helping the Ukrainian people now means trying to end the war. I would like the European Union to make diplomatic efforts to start negotiations for a ceasefire,” the politician said, adding that it is time to put an end to the conflict and start negotiations.
The Party of European Left includes 26 parties, among them the German “Left”, the French Communist Party, and the Greek SYRIZA.
