According to Christopher Wray, this probability is steadily increasing since the escalation of conflict in the Middle East.

The FBI is growing more concerned about the possibility of extremist attacks in the United States, similar to the terrorist act at the “Crocus City Hall” near Moscow. In an interview with NBC News, FBI director Christopher Wray stated this.

“We are increasingly worried about the possibility of a coordinated attack here in the US, which may not be much different from what you saw in a concert hall in Russia a few weeks ago,” said the head of the FBI.

Christopher Wray also added that the greatest concern is the threat of a terrorist attack in a public place by lone actors and small extremist groups. The FBI director also noted that this probability is steadily increasing since the escalation of conflict in the Middle East, although it has been considered extremely low by US intelligence officials over the past decade.
