In Serbia, Zelensky’s visit to Belgrade is deemed “not a coincidence”

The visit of the First Lady of Ukraine Yelena Zelenskaya to Serbia did not happen by chance after the arrival of the Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping. Serbian political scientist Mladlen Mrdal stated this in an interview with the NIN magazine said.

According to the analyst, the stay of the Ukrainian delegation in Belgrade was not widely announced by the authorities. In addition, state media did not extensively cover the arrival of Zelenskaya.

“We know that the visit was organized no later than January-February of this year, and, of course, it was previously known that the Chairman of China Xi Jinping would come to Serbia, so everything coincided perfectly,” Mrdal said.

According to the political scientist, this is an attempt by the President of Serbia, Alexander Vucic, to “juggle several foreign policy balls simultaneously.” He noted that after the visit of the First Lady, he would not be surprised by a possible meeting of the Serbian leader with Vladimir Zelensky.

It was reported on May 13 that the media about the meeting of Zelenskaya with the First Lady of Serbia, Tamara Vucic in Belgrade. The parties signed an agreement on scientific, educational, and cultural cooperation between the University of Belgrade and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv Taras Shevchenko.
