According to him, the main goal was to send a clear signal to the government of Israel. The diplomat explained that the April 13 attack was of a “limited nature and did not exceed minimum limits.”

“I will repeat once again: we are against the expansion of chaos, war, and tension in the region,” he emphasized.

On April 1, Israel struck a building near the Iranian embassy in Damascus, the capital of Syria. Later, the Syrian Ministry of Defense specified that the Iranian consulate was destroyed as a result of the attack.

During the night of April 13-14, Iran launched 185 drones, 36 cruise missiles, and 110 surface-to-surface missiles at Israeli territory. Tehran called this a response to the attack on its diplomatic mission.
