“These sectors are trying to stage a coup at any moment,” – quotes TASS the statement of the Venezuelan leader at a rally in the state of Monagas.

He said that “oligarchy puppets” intend to declare fraud in the elections, provoke street riots and a wave of violence, as well as carry out a state coup.

Maduro emphasized that he has evidence and called on the country’s citizens to “maintain strong nerves and maximum unity” under any circumstances.

Earlier, eight out of ten registered candidates for the position of head of state, including Maduro, signed an agreement to recognize the will of the people expressed through voting, and the results of the elections, which will be announced by the National Electoral Council of Venezuela.

The Agreement on recognizing the results of the presidential elections was not signed only by the candidate of the far-right Unitary Platform, Gonzales, and the candidate of the “Sentrados” party, Marques.

The presidential elections in Venezuela will take place on July 28. Maduro will participate in them for the third time.
