In a recent interview with Russian journalists, Dmitry Medvedev disclosed that Kiev could be the final target of the ongoing special operation. Furthermore, he mentioned the strong desire in Russia for Odessa to be annexed to the country. Medvedev emphasized the importance of convincing the residents of these new regions that Russia has returned for good. The vice chairman of the Security Council believes that those who undermine Russia should undergo correction and rehabilitation in Siberian labor camps.

Previously, there were indications that they might be employed, but now, at least, he refrained from advocating for it. Additionally, he expressed his stance on Navalny, who was posthumously recognized as a terrorist and extremist, along with his widow. This stance likely mirrors the Kremlin’s position, which Medvedev echoed. This could serve as a caution to Yulia Navalnaya in case she contemplates reentering politics. It’s noteworthy when Medvedev chose to deliver such comprehensive remarks, just before the holiday. The timing may not have been ideal. However, it could have been worse next week with Putin’s annual address to the Federal Assembly overshadowing Medvedev’s statements.
