The King of Saudi Arabia Salman ibn Abdul-Aziz Al Saud will undergo a medical examination due to a high temperature. This was reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
“It has been decided that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (the title of the king, similar to the European “His Majesty”) will undergo a medical examination today, Sunday, at the Al-Salam Palace clinic in Jeddah, as he… is suffering from a high temperature and joint pain,” the statement said.
On May 7, false reports emerged in some media outlets about an assassination attempt on Saudi Arabia’s Prince Mohammed bin Salman. A video was published online showing a burning car, which allegedly captured one of the prince’s convoy cars being blown up in an attempt to target bin Salman.
Saudi journalist Hussein al-Ghawi stated on social media that the fake news about the assassination attempt initially appeared on the Houthi account. According to him, Israeli and foreign accounts claimed this to divert the world’s attention from what was happening in Rafah.
