Western companies should stop Russia’s import of critical components through China. Deputy US Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo will say this at a meeting with German business on Friday, May 31, as reported by the Financial Times, referring to the draft of his speech.
“The US and Europe must make a decisive choice in favor of China: Chinese companies can either do business in our economies or equip the Russian military machine with dual-use goods. They cannot do both,” Adeyemo will urge.
According to a representative of the US Department of the Treasury, every NATO member country and state supporting NATO and Ukraine should point out to China the inadmissibility of supporting Russia’s defense industry.
Earlier in the US, the possibility of a full ban on Russian goods was considered. Deputy Assistant to the US President for National Security Dalip Singh expressed this opinion.
