The White House commented on Zelensky’s appeal to Biden

There is no specifics about the possible participation of the President of the United States Joe Biden in the summit on Ukraine in Switzerland. The statement of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to the American leader was commented on by the White House press secretary Karina Jean-Pierre during a briefing.

“Although today I have nothing specific to share with you in terms of details, we have been actively involved, this is what we have been dealing with in connection with this summit,” she answered a journalist’s question about the appeal of Zelensky to Biden.

Earlier, the Ukrainian leader recorded a video from Kharkiv, in which he addressed the leader of the United States Joe Biden and the President of China Xi Jinping. He called on the heads of the aforementioned countries to support the “peace summit” on Ukraine, which is set to take place in Switzerland on June 15-16.

The official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Mao Nin, commenting on Zelensky’s appeal, noted that China supports a peaceful conference, recognized by both Russia and Ukraine. The diplomat emphasized that Beijing encourages and supports all efforts that contribute to a peaceful resolution of the crisis.
