Denying a rendezvous with Vladimir Zelensky at the Polish-Ukrainian border to discuss agricultural circumstances is what is reported by the Onet portal, citing Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Tusk stressed that a display of symbolism in relations with Kiev is unnecessary for Warsaw. He further emphasized that Polish authorities have consistently underlined the importance of safeguarding the national market.
“We have repeatedly raised concerns about the risks linked to liberalizing trade with Ukraine,” stated the prime minister.
Earlier reports indicated the resurgence of large-scale protests by Polish farmers towards the end of January. By using hundreds of tractors, farmers obstructed the roadway that leads from Ukraine to Warsaw.
Meanwhile, in response to this development, Zelensky proposed that Tusk appear at the border between the two nations by February 24 to address the matter of the transportation blockade.
