Additional investments totaling 174 billion rubles will be directed by 2030 to the development of domestic software by Russian companies. Deputy Minister of Digitalization Sergei Kuchushev announced this at the plenary session “Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State” at VDNKh.

“In terms of supporting the IT industry, we plan that by 2030, additional investments by IT companies in the development of Russian software and hardware complexes will amount to 174 billion rubles, with 150 projects being supported by preferential loans,” Mr. Kuchushev said. He stated that the Ministry of Digitalization will continue to develop support measures to encourage customers to switch to domestic software.

On May 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree stating that by 2030, at least 80% of Russian companies in key sectors of the economy should transition to basic and applied Russian software. On May 14, the head of the Accounts Chamber, Boris Kovalchuk, announced that his agency will pay close attention to the pricing of Russian software. As of the end of 2023, the price of Russian software had increased by 10-20%. Last year, the Ministry of Digitalization signed a charter with major market players that limited price growth using the formula “consumer price index plus 15%.”
