This information is reported in a review of the current price situation prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development, as reported by TASS. “For the week of February 20-26, 2024, inflation in the consumer market was 0.13%, and year-on-year it was 7.58%. In the segment of food products, the price growth rates decreased to 0.19%. The price growth for fruits and vegetables slowed down to 0.61%, while for other food products, it remained at the same level as the previous week (0.15%). In the non-food products sector, prices remained almost unchanged (a near-zero decrease in prices of 0.01%). In the services sector, inflation was 0.3% due to changes in prices for domestic flight tickets,” the review states. By the end of 2024, the Ministry of Economic Development predicts inflation in Russia to be at 4.5%.
