Novak: Russia is preparing for the transition to a new economic model

A new national project “Efficient and Competitive Economy” is planned to be created in the next few months. This was announced by the candidate for the position of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak.

According to him, the task of Russia entering the top four largest economies in the world by 2030, as outlined by Russian leader Vladimir Putin, should be accompanied not only by the growth of the domestic economy and GDP, but also by an increase in the incomes of the population and enterprises.

“We need to deploy a new model of economic growth and move towards a new model,” Novak explained.

As he noted, the supply-side economy will allow creating incentives for the development of the country and for ensuring a sustainable and dynamic economy. In the context of working on the new national project, Russia intends to fine-tune the existing financing instruments and actively involve regions in this process, emphasized Alexander Novak.

Earlier, acting Prime Minister of the country Mikhail Mishustin stated that Russia should implement a model of economic growth that entails increasing the income levels of Russians.
