A hundred years ahead: beauty is far away, be!

Truly iconic Soviet films can be counted on one hand, and the first adaptation of the story by Bulychev – the series “Guest from the Future” (1985) – is one of them. According to Natalia Guseva, that Alice literally drove people crazy. Therefore, to be honest, no matter how the new film turns out – bad, good, similar, dissimilar – it is impossible to please the current generation of 40-year-olds. In childhood, everything was still better – both ice cream and Alice Selezneva. These “A Hundred Years Ahead” are made for modern children who grew up on Marvel and anime, and if they read Bulychev’s books, they perceive them in this context. The new series of “Alicians” is much closer to “Guardians of the Galaxy” than “Guest from the Future”. And that’s okay. After all, the Soviet Alice is already there and will not disappear, and there has never been such an Alice before.
