Singer Maria Zaytseva explained her creative hiatus as a period of creative stagnation. She revealed this in an interview with Hello! magazine.
Zaytseva admitted that she was in a difficult emotional state for a long time. She noted that she harshly criticized herself for not having new songs due to creative stagnation. The artist explained that she had a fear of wasting time and dropping out of the working process. The singer “punished” herself and did not allow herself to rest.
“That’s not very healthy. At one point, instead of self-flagellation, I decided to support myself, told myself that I’m great, that I need to spend some time with my thoughts. I made peace with my inner self, calmed down. When I forgave myself, started allowing more, and took things more lightly, the muse practically immediately came and the creative flow opened,” the performer shared.
Zaytseva noted that she was able to return to her creative groove only in the spring of 2024. In the future, she plans to travel to Iceland, where she will be working on filming a new music video.
