“Inteko”, established by the wife of the former mayor of Moscow, Yuri Luzhkov, Elena Baturina, constructed a building on the Garden Ring for its own needs back in 2007. Its total area is around 9200 square meters. In late 2022, Sminex bought “Inteko” from “Trust” bank (this company came under its ownership in the course of resolving the debt obligations of the banker Mikhail Shishkhanov, who had acquired it from Baturina back in 2011) for 38 billion rubles. After the deal was closed, part of “Inteko” assets, including its headquarters on Sadovo-Spasskaya street, were put up for sale. Vice President of sales at Sminex, Roman Semchishin, explained to RBC at the end of 2023 that this decision was due to the fact that the developer has its own headquarters on Kadashevskaya embankment. In addition, according to him, the company’s staff, which has tripled, simply cannot fit in the building near Krasnye Vorota.
