British doctor Chris Dabberly believes that orange juice and sugary cereals should be forgotten because they have a negative impact on the digestive system.
“High sugar content can lead to unstable blood sugar levels, disrupting the fragile balance of our digestive system,” the doctor believes.
He also emphasized that breakfast with pastries, cereals, or juices is nothing more than a marketing ploy and has nothing to do with nutritional science.
“A protein-based breakfast can be a great way to stay full and maintain optimal digestive function. Including high-protein foods in our morning meals provides long-lasting satiety and provides the body with necessary nutrients,” Dabberly added.
Sweet breakfasts do not provide energy, but instead, they sharply raise blood sugar levels followed by a drop, making a person tired and sluggish. Therefore, switching to less sweet breakfasts is beneficial not only for the digestive system but also for overall well-being. This also helps maintain a stable blood sugar level.
