The Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov stated that more than 300 apartments in 85 multi-storey buildings were damaged as a result of the massive shelling of Belgorod on Saturday. He wrote about this on his “VKontakte” page. He also mentioned that four individual residential buildings and 14 commercial buildings were damaged.
In addition, several social facilities, including healthcare facilities, were damaged. “The most severe consequences are at the ‘Siren’ sports complex, but we will start restoration work as quickly as possible, we have everything we need for this: specialists, experience, resources,” added Gladkov. Prior to this, Gladkov reported dozens of civilian casualties in the shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces of the city of Belgorod and Belgorod district. Preliminarily, 28 adults and one child were injured. The city hospital No. 2, the children’s regional clinical hospital, the sports center, and high school No. 41 were damaged. In addition, 6 cars caught fire from direct hits of shells.
