FSB employees found an improvised explosive device on the bottom of a car at the entrance to Crimea through the Djankoy checkpoint. The device was defused, and no one was injured, according to the region’s law enforcement agencies as reported by RIA Novosti.

The Djankoy checkpoint is located on the administrative border with the Kherson region. It is claimed that the device was attached under the driver’s seat. The car was moved to a safe distance, after which bomb disposal experts neutralized the bomb.

“According to the experts’ conclusion, the explosive device was made from components of foreign production supplied to Ukraine by NATO countries,” said an unnamed source from the agency.

This week, two Russian citizens were detained in Sevastopol and Crimea, accused of preparing terrorist acts on the peninsula at the request of Ukrainian special services. According to the investigation, a resident of Simferopol was preparing to detonate a bomb on the railway, and a resident of Sevastopol was planning to sabotage a serviceman of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
