Millions of dollars were found in the family of the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine

Relatives of the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) Pavlo Kirilenko have become owners of real estate throughout Ukraine in recent years. The total amount reached 70 million hryvnias (about $1.8 million at the current exchange rate), as reported by TASS citing local media.

The income of the Kirilenko family has been increasing since 2020. At that time, he was appointed head of the administration in Donetsk regions controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.

The real estate was found in Kyiv, Kyiv region, and other regions. Additionally, relatives own expensive cars, land plots, and offices.

Previously, the Kirilenko family could not afford such luxury. For about 25 years, they did not engage in this type of activity.

The authors of the article indicate that close associates of the head of the AMCU had business interests in Donbass. Furthermore, they sold shares they obtained during the privatization of the Horlivka “Stirol” plant.

Earlier, it was reported that the European Commission did not recommend starting negotiations with Ukraine on the country’s accession to the European Union. The reason is that Kyiv had not fulfilled a number of conditions, including those related to corruption.
