123 boxes with prohibited substances were seized from the warehouse
A woman from Saint Petersburg came up with a scheme to sell drugs through a popular marketplace in Russia. 123 boxes with prohibited substances were seized from the warehouse, and another 57 were found at the suspect’s home. The criminal has been detained. She is suspected of drug trafficking on an especially large scale, facing up to 20 years in prison. Official representative of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk reported this to TASS. She specified that packages already sent to recipients were also seized from collection points.
Later, a comment was received from the marketplace press service: “Thanks to the vigilance of warehouse employees, suspicious substances were found in a seller’s package as soon as it arrived at the warehouse. It is important to note that the seller had never worked at our warehouse. Standard quality control procedures allowed for the quick detection of product substitution. Our security service found prohibited substances in the box, and we immediately tracked and blocked the delivery to all regions where the seller intended to send it, preventing the product from being sold. We promptly contacted law enforcement agencies, handed over all items from the shipment, and provided necessary information. Through our control system and quick cooperation with law enforcement, the suspect was identified and apprehended.”
In the video provided to the press center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the detained woman admits to distributing prohibited substances. She found buyers in the darknet and planned to send some packages to Moscow, Pskov, Kazan, and Krasnodar.
