The water level in the Ishim River near the city of Ishim in Siberia rose by 228 cm in one day. As of 8:00 (6:00 Moscow time), the water level reached 690 cm. The regional government’s information center reports about it. The water level in the Ishim River may exceed the historical maximum by 2 meters.

A state of emergency was declared in the Tyumen region due to flooding on April 8. The water is expected to reach floodplains in the region by April 20, with the peak expected on April 23-25. The water level in the Tobol River in the Kurgan region continues to rise: in the last 24 hours, the water level in the river has increased by 38 cm, reaching 1008 cm.

At the same time, the water level in the Orenburg region, which has been most affected by the floods, is decreasing: the water level in the Ural River near Orenburg has dropped to 1,074 cm, in Orsk the water level has decreased to 532 cm, and in Ilek it has decreased to 915 cm.
