In St. Petersburg, fines will be introduced for violations of the resort fee law.

Fines for hotels will be imposed for failure to comply with the deadlines for calculating, collecting, and transferring the resort fee, providing information to the registry, as well as for violations of the procedure for accounting for fee payers. The amount of fines will vary from 3,000 to 100,000 rubles depending on the nature of the violation.

Tourists who have not paid the resort fee will be required to pay a fine ranging from 500 to 2,000 rubles.

It is worth noting that from October 1, 2023, a zero rate of resort fee is in effect in the city, and the actual collection started from April 1, 2024.
