“Currently, work is underway on an intergovernmental agreement on partial abolition of visa requirements for citizens of Russia and Malaysia, providing for visa-free entry for up to 30 days. In our view, signing this document will promote intensification of business exchanges, development of tourism and cultural-humanitarian ties,” Vakhitov was quoted by RIA Novosti as saying.

He noted that the parties are now working on formulations that would be acceptable to all. For this purpose, expert consultations will be held in online and offline formats in the near future.
