The New Dzhubga-Sochi Road Intends To Relieve The Tourist Flow in The Main Resort of The Black Sea Coast

The construction of the Dzhubga-Sochi highway is aimed at relieving the tourist flow into the resort area of the main city on the Black Sea coast, reducing traffic jams when heading to the sea during the summer period, and making small seaside villages towards Adler more attractive to vacationers. This opinion was expressed by the Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry Yuri Barzykin to RIA Novosti.

He called this project, announced by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the most grandiose and voluminous in the field of transportation infrastructure. Its implementation is preliminarily estimated at around 1.5 trillion rubles, which is comparable to the costs of developing infrastructure for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.

According to Yuri Barzykin, overall, the Dzhubga-Sochi highway should increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of the Black Sea coast.

This project has been under consideration for several years, but last year it began to be actively discussed again as very promising. After the construction of the Jubga-Sochi highway and bypasses of Rostov and Krasnodar, the road from Moscow to Sochi will take not a day, as today, but only 15 hours.
