The authorities of Indonesia have approved the initiative to open the consulship of Russia in Bali, as reported by the Russian embassy in the country.
Representatives of the Russian diplomatic mission confirmed that they have received the preliminary agreement from the Indonesian authorities and are in the process of clarifying the technical details.
Bali, which is extremely popular among Russian tourists, will become the location of the new consular representation, which is an important initiative.
It is worth mentioning that since February 14, Indonesia has introduced a mandatory tourist tax of around 10 US dollars for foreign visitors arriving on the island of Bali.
