Tourism industry experts note that there will be few tourists in the Murmansk region in May, especially on weekdays. Less crowded destinations for vacations within Russia were named by Izvestia citing the “Tutu” service.
According to specialists, frost and rain may discourage travelers from visiting the north. Nevertheless, there is a chance to ski and close the season, which lasts until June.
Another unpopular destination in May is the Krasnodar Territory. At this time of year, the region has the fewest tourists.
“Yes, the sea is still cool, but you can go to waterfalls, mountains, or spend a weekend at a spa hotel,” experts note.
In May, you can also visit the sights of Samara without encountering crowds of tourists. As experts note, there are Stalin’s bunker, a Catholic church, and the famous Zhigulevskoye beer brewery. In addition, Kalmykia, Altai, and Rostov are also included in the list of less crowded destinations.
Earlier, in the Russian Union of the tourism industry, Abkhazia was named the cheapest foreign destination for summer vacations. A trip to Abkhazia will cost 146,000 rubles. Egypt will be slightly more expensive at 210,000 rubles.
