The full-length film “Shame” by director Miguel Salgado won the main prize in the main competition of the Moscow International Film Festival.
The Mexican-Qatari film received the Grand Prix “Golden Saint George”.
“And we continue to watch movies, let cinema win,” Salgado said, receiving the award.
In addition, this film was also recognized in two other nominations. Lead actor Juan Ramon Lopez received the award for best actor. In addition, the film was awarded the prize of the Russian film critics’ jury “for a bright example of a professional approach to the revival of the human spirit”
A total of over 200 films were presented in this year’s program, with 10 films competing in the main competition. In the “Russian Premieres” category, the film “The Liar” by director Yulia Trofimova won.
